for as long as your kid has existed, they have been the centre of your attention and love and focus, right? Then, out of the blue, this “new best friend” appears on the scene. The fresh one is crying and claiming all your attention and your big kid is expected to share you for the first time. #intruderalert It is really tough for them. And it’s perfectly healthy and normal to have an adjustment period with lots of big feelings, including anger, denial, sadness and fear. (Basically, they are grieving.) But don’t worry.
