some people have amazing gifting abilities – from choosing the perfect gift to wrapping it beautifully. My daughter’s teachers have that ability. #wrappingenvy The wrapping is almost a gift in itself. They are now my wrapping muses and I think about wrapping more mindful than ever before. I have even started a stash of ribbons and wrapping and twine and stamps and boxes and bags I have collected over the years, half of which is recycled pieces I’ve kept from beautiful gifts given to me.
so with Christmas looming and in the spirit of giving, the folks over at gather and feast provided us with some beautifully simple and elegant Christmas gift and place cards, to help make Christmas just a little more beautiful. I love the idea of minimalist wrapping: brown paper, twine, a pretty gift tag and a sprig of rosemary. Not only is it elegant, but also cost-effective.
and while you are at it – why not coordinate your Christmas lunch table? So, we have included some larger cards that can be used as place cards or even Christmas cards.
what you’ll need:
- White card (preferably between 200 – 300gsm)
- Computer & printer
- PDF viewer (e.g. Adobe Reader)
- Hole punch & twine
the steps:
- Simply click on the links below and print the gift tags on A4 paper. (I like to use a thicker matte paper between 200 – 300gsm). Make sure your print quality is set to ‘high’ in the settings.
- Using scissors, a blade or guillotine, cut around the dotted line on the outer edges. (A guillotine will ensure straight lines).
- Punch a hole in the top of the gift tag, add twine, write a special note on the back and attach it to your wrapped gift. Love.
simple. Beautiful. Elegant.
have a magical, beautiful, blessed festive season.
