lunchbox l♥️ve
eye love a cute lunch. If I could pack a cute lunchbox everyday I probably would. I imagine the expression on my wildlings’ faces as they open their lunchboxes in awe of their sandwich creations. {Reality is they probably barely notice – it is still nice pretending though}. But this mama is tired (most days) and does not necessarily feel at my most creative at 5:15 in the am. So I will pack a themed lunchbox around special occasions like Valentines {with the compulsory heart-shaped sandwich} or Easter which obviously involves anything and everything with long shaped ears.
the other day I was feeling especially creative following some Pinterest inspo and planned an underwater lunch extravaganza. It involved a Vienna octopus, cucumber seaweed, a fish-shaped sandwich, a carrot air bubble, and apple sailboats.

another lunchbox idea eye love, is that of a little “lunch l♥️ve note”. I remember how much I valued a little note from my mom in my lunchbox. It made me feel connected to her even though we were apart. It probably also meant so much, because words of affirmation is one of my primary love languages. (Whilst on the topic – have you read our series on loving your child effectively? You can find it HERE.)
and of course it doesn’t hurt if it is a really cute or funny note. I found some awesome printables to share with you. They were chosen because they were either really pretty, funny or beautifully affirming. I can’t wait to start adding these to my wildlings’ lunchboxes. eye know this is going to take a few extra minutes out of my already hectic mornings, but if I can make my wildlings smile even for a second during the day while they are away from me and give them some encouragement and love… well then that is worth all the time in the world! In a world full of voices (some positive, some negative), I want to make sure they hear mine clearly.
happy lunch packing, mama.
